A great work of animation, nice colours, a childish universe and holidays... This teaser of animation film My family and the wolf will surely make you want to see the full film. Still in production, the film is directed by spanish studio Headless and produced by Nectarious Film. It seems the launch is planed for 2012, and I think it could be a great success.
short animation film : Codehunters by Ben Hibon
Produced for MTV Asia, Codehunters is a short animation film directed by Ben Hibon in 2006. This director has created several animation sequences for different movies like Harry Potter, Sucker Punch or the recent Mirror Mirror. Even if the scenario don't give a lot of details, an interesting story and a nice universe give the short film a great identity.
short animation film : réflexion by planktoon
Planktoon is an animation studio located in Paris working for advertising, with some big clients like Carrefour or Canal + (very famous french companies). But they also produce non commercial animation films, like Réflexion, a nice short film. The reflection theme, even if not very original, is nicely served by a great animation and direction work.
Music Video : Mr Overtime by Punks Jump Up directed by Maxime Bruneel
After the beautiful music video for Variations sur Marilou by Alain Bashung, french director Maxime Bruneel is back with another really nice animation video, produced again by ChezEddy, for the track Mr Overtime by Punks Jump Up. An animated road trip, recalling the 80's atmosphere.
Fragments, short animation film by Hugo Bravo produced by Kawanimation
Another wonderful discovery via the great french website Catsuka : a short animation film named "Fragments", directed by Hugo Bravo, a former student of french animation and illustration school Emile Cohl, and produced by the studio Kawanimation located in Paris.
The rendering is really original and surprising, with a mix of animation and photography (or maybe video ?). The pictures are very graphic and dynamic, and the universe, very minimalistic, give the movie a very specific identity.
